I loved books even before I could read them. My parents were avid readers, so there were always hundreds of books around the house. Some of my earliest memories involve pulling books off of shelves and playing with them. 

When I was a little older I would pretend to read them, and I even added my own ideas in crayon. I don't  remember ever getting into trouble for this, and maybe that is why I still write stories. I am working on a novel that is currently my obsession and is starting to make me crazier.     

When I am not drinking Absinthe, writing, playing my bass guitar, working as a CNA, snuggling with my dog, listening to music, doing yoga, dorking around on the interwebz, or being a smart ass, I am reading. I love science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal stories.  I try to read classics and nonfiction, too, but I read a whole lot more genre fiction than anything else.

I have about 400 books waiting to be read, and I keep collecting more everyday. The thrill of the hunt I guess. I am a vegan and I am married, so I don't get to do much hunting otherwise. ;) I am friendly when approached, so feel free to contact me. I love making friends with other writers and readers.
